How to Use the NFL SOS Tool
- The Weekly Schedule tab shows a bar chart of your selected team’s opponents, week by week.
- The League Rankings tab plots all 32 teams from the easiest schedule on the left to the hardest on the right, based on the selected metric.
- The 2025 Comparison tab breaks your selected team’s 2026 schedule down by division, showing which opponents they face compared to what they faced in 2025.
- Choose from 10+ efficiency metrics, including our Strength of Schedule projection based on Vegas win totals
- Strength of Schedule: Sharp Football Analysis proprietary metric based on Vegas win totals for opponents, creating a better forward-looking strength of schedule ranking.
- Efficiency Metrics: Sharp Football Analysis proprietary metrics that combine multiple efficiency metrics, such as EPA per play and down set conversion rate, into one weighted number.

How We Calculate NFL Strength of Schedule
The metrics in this tool are built on Warren Sharp’s strength of schedule model, which uses 2026 Vegas projected win totals to measure opponent quality.
Vegas lines incorporate current information that prior-year records leave out, including offseason acquisitions, coaching changes, injuries, and projected roster development.
