Explore how embodied practices can support your mental health and nervous system, deepen self-awareness, and strengthen your recovery.
At SHE RECOVERS, we believe that recovery is a journey to wholeness. We learn to take care of our body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
We understand that our bodies hold stories and lived experiences that words alone cannot always reach. However, through embodied movement, we can begin to come home to ourselves and move our recovery.
In this #MentalHealthMonday session, Taryn Strong and Payton Kennedy will introduce participants to embodied recovery practices rooted in the trauma-informed foundations of SHE RECOVERS Yoga and SHE RECOVERS Dance.
Together, they will explore body-centered movement as a modality to build self-trust, self-worth, self-awareness, access and express emotions, support the nervous system, and help in healing from the inside out.
During this session, participants will be invited to:
- Explore embodiment as a supportive practice for mental and emotional well-being
- Notice how lived experience may show up in the body
- Experience invitational, accessible, and choice-based movement
- Reflect on what it means to feel at home in your body
- Discover how movement for release and expression feels
- Join ongoing opportunities for practice
- Add embodied movement to holistic recovery
Join us LIVE for a Q & A session following the presentation.
