WP:BLP of a lawyer, diplomat and academic, not properly sourced as passing inclusion criteria for any of those occupations. As always, lawyers, diplomats and academics alike are not automatically entitled to have Wikipedia articles just because they exist, and have to be shown to pass WP:GNG on substantive third-party coverage and analysis about their work in reliable sources. But apart from a short biographical entry in a Who’s Who directory, which is not sufficient to get a person over GNG all by itself, this is otherwise “referenced” entirely to primary sources that are not support for notability, such as his own work being cited to metaverify its own existence and his staff profiles on the self-published websites of his own employers, and does not contain any significant or reliable or independent GNG-building sources at all. • Delete Assuming the previous references are unsuitable as defined per Bearcat, a very long established editor and Afd participant, of the 4 referenced have been added, 2 are passing mentions, e.g. Readers Digest, and two are opinion pieces which are WP:PRIMARY. “Mentions” don’t help to build notability — we need to see substantive coverage in which he is a main subject. Notability is also not established by citing his writing to itself as proof that it exists — it’s established by citing his writing to other people doing coverage and analysis about it, such as book reviews by professional book reviewers and/or third party analysis of his writing’s impact, as proof that it’s been externally validated as significant by people who didn’t have a vested interest in promoting him.
