Fazal Omar Lewal is an Afghan author and researcher in international relations, geopolitical conflict, and global political economy. His research focuses on world political disputes, foreign intervention, and the historical and strategic dynamics of Afghanistan in international politics.
Lewal is the author of Democracia terrorista occidental en Afganistán (2022), a 448-page political analysis examining the role of Western powers and the consequences of international military intervention in Afghanistan. The book was published in Buenos Aires, Argentina (ISBN: 978-987-88-3628-7) and is available through digital platforms including Amazon Kindle.
His academic interests include Afghan history, U.S.–Afghanistan relations, international power politics, and the geopolitical transformation of Central and South Asia. Lewal is currently working on his second book titled Afghan-Americans, which documents the contributions of the Afghan diaspora in the United States, highlighting scholars, professionals, writers, activists, and community leaders.
