David Wayne Redkey is an American educator, disability-rights advocate, and political candidate from Arizona.
He is a Democratic candidate for the United States House of Representatives in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District for the 2026 election.[1] Redkey is also known for his involvement in a long-running conservatorship case in Arizona, which has been covered in local media and litigated in the Arizona Court of Appeals.[2]
Early life and education

Redkey was born in Bloomington, Indiana.[1]
He attended Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, Arizona.[1]
Redkey earned an Associate of Arts degree from Glendale Community College in 2014, followed by concurrent Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Communication from Arizona State University in 2016, graduating summa cum laude.[1]
He completed a Master of Education in Secondary Education at Arizona State University in 2019, and later a Graduate Certificate in Rhetoric, Writing, and Digital Media Studies from Northern Arizona University.[1]
Redkey has worked as a secondary-education English teacher in Arizona.[2]
He previously worked for the CDC-INFO national information line through a federal contractor.[2]
He is the owner of TBI Writer LLC, a small writing and communications business, and is the author of Lies Within the Shattered Curriculum, published through Kindle Direct Publishing.[3]
