Declan Rice’s Reaction to West Ham’s Relegation
Unaired footage showing Declan Rice’s reaction as West Ham’s relegation to the Championship was confirmed on Sunday has gone viral on social media.
Shortly before Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy at Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park, Rice was seen anxiously listening to the full-time scores as they filtered through.
The Sun have confirmed social media suggestions that Rice got wind of West Ham’s relegation, following Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Everton, and reacted by turning away in disgust.
While Rice was buzzing minutes later while lifting the Premier League trophy for the first time, it’s clear that part of him still felt momentarily gutted knowing his former club had gone down. Watch the viral footage below:
Rice’s former teammate Jarrod Bowen spoke openly and honestly about West Ham and his future at the London Stadium in the aftermath of Sunday’s match, while the Hammers have also released a statement with a message for the club’s supporters.
Russian and Ukrainian Stars Refuse to Shake Hands During PSG Training
Eye-opening footage has emerged of two Paris Saint-Germain stars refusing to shake hands during training. This incident has occurred with exactly one week to go until the Champions League final.
PSG have won Ligue 1 this season and will be viewed as the favourites when they meet Arsenal in the European final, having lifted the trophy in 2025. However, the Gunners have just been crowned Premier League champions, so will be full of confidence.
One issue in the PSG dressing room could be between Matvey Safonov and Ilia Zabarnyi. Goalkeeper Safonov is Russian, while Zabarnyi is from Ukraine. With conflict ongoing between their countries, it appears as though ill feelings exist at the PSG training ground as well.
Recent footage appears to show the pair refusing to shake hands during training. Zabaryni has spoken out on the issue before, saying: “In my country, a full-scale war has been raging for four years. The Russians are aggressors who are trying in vain to destroy the freedom and independence of Ukraine. I do not maintain any personal relations with any Russians. I have to interact with [Safonov] on a professional level during training and fulfil my obligations to the club. But as long as the war continues, I fully support the isolation of Russian football in the world.”
However, when Safonov was asked to share his remark on Zabaryni’s comment, he refused saying: “I won’t.” Watch the footage:
Joao Pedro’s Family React to Brazil Squad Snub
Footage has emerged of Joao Pedro’s disappointed family reacting after the Chelsea star was left out of Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad. Carlo Ancelotti opted for 34-year-old Neymar over Pedro, who has scored 15 Premier League goals this season.
Pedro has released a statement on Instagram, expressing his disappointment, but added: “I will be just another fan cheering for them to bring the sixth title home.” It’s clear from his and his family’s reaction that they were expecting a call-up for this summer’s showpiece international tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Wayne Rooney’s Funny Pep Guardiola Story
Wayne Rooney left everyone in stitches during the FA Cup final with a hilarious story about Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola. The Citizens lifted the trophy after a narrow 1-0 victory against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium.
One of the most successful managers of all time, Guardiola has consistently won silverware wherever he’s gone during his career. Rooney found that out in the 2009 and 2011 Champions League finals as Guardiola’s Barcelona defeated Rooney’s Manchester United.
During his spell as Derby County manager, Rooney had to call Guardiola when trying to sign Liam Delap on loan. The Catalan-born tactician missed the call before Rooney then missed his return call. He did leave a voicemail, however, which started with: “Hi Wayne, it’s Pep. The one who beat you in the Champions League final.” Daniel Sturridge and Micah Richards couldn’t contain their laughter.
Brazilian winger Romario Luiz da Silva suffered a horrific ankle injury during a match in Honduras this week.
The gruesome incident occurred during a top-flight match between Olancho and Motagua on Tuesday night.
Motagua forward Romario was left in agony – with his ankle ‘left hanging by his sock’, according to reports in Honduras – after landing awkwardly while trying to stop an Olancho counter-attack.
Romario waved his hands frantically, asking for help. He immediately knew the injury was severe. Shocked commentators were heard saying “por favor” [“please”], while distraught teammates were seen in tears.
The 36-year-old was stretchered off and transported to hospital. Watch the incident below:
Cristiano Ronaldo Reacts as Al-Nassr Goalkeeper Costs Them League Title
Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr were seconds away from winning the Saudi Pro League title on Tuesday evening, only for their goalkeeper, Bento, to produce an incredible howler in the final moments against Al Hilal.
Al-Nassr needed three points against their fierce rivals to guarantee them their first league title since 2018/19. They looked as if they were going to get the result they needed as they held a 1-0 lead going into the eighth minute of added time.
Al Hilal won a throw-in in the dying moments, and they launched the ball into the box in a desperate attempt to keep their title hopes alive. Incredibly, Bento let the ball squirm between his fingers and find the back of the net, denying Al-Nassr the title.
Ronaldo was watching on from the bench and his reaction said it all. The 41-year-old was dejected and stormed down the tunnel in disbelief at what he had seen.
Lamine Yamal Gets Revenge on Jude Bellingham
Lamine Yamal appeared to take a thinly-veiled dig at Jude Bellingham during Barcelona’s La Liga title parade on Monday. The 18-year-old, who missed Sunday’s 2-0 Clasico win over Real Madrid through injury, said from the bus: “Don’t forget, talk is cheap.”
Earlier in the day, the 2026 Ballon d’Or contender had posted the same message on his Instagram story. But what does it mean – and why is this being seen as a dig at Real Madrid and England star Bellingham?
Well, Bellingham used the words “talk is cheap” back in October after Real Madrid sealed a 2-1 league win over Barcelona. The Englishman’s comments came days after Yamal had claimed Madrid “rob and complain”.
Now the title race is over, Lamine Yamal has wasted no time in reminding Bellingham of his comments. Revenge is a dish best served cold.
