The San Francisco 49ers reportedly signed head coach Kyle Shanahan to a contract extension during the offseason.
According to Tom Pelissero of The Ringer, the Niners “quietly” extended Shanahan’s deal, which was previously believed to be expiring at the end of the 2027 season.
Shanahan’s first game under his new contract was an excellent one for the Niners, as they dominated the Los Angeles Rams en route to a 27-7 Week 1 victory in Melbourne on Thursday.
